SubClear aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. The site is small and text-based, and we have designed it to work with keyboards, screen readers and browser zoom.
What we have done
- Every page has one main heading and a logical heading order.
- All form controls have visible labels, and radio-button questions are grouped with descriptive legends.
- Keyboard focus is visible on every link, button and control.
- Text and background colours meet contrast requirements in both light and dark mode.
- The layout works at 400% zoom and on small phones without horizontal scrolling.
- No content flashes, autoplays or moves on its own. The game timer is text, not animation.
- Tables on the policy pages scroll sideways inside their own container on narrow screens.
Known limitations
- Calendar reminder files (.ics) are downloads; their contents are also shown as text in the tracker.
- Third-party advertisements, when shown, are produced by the advertiser and may not meet the same standard.
